Happy Easter!

Today was PJ's 1st Easter and we had the BEST day! The munchkin woke up around 7:30 and was H.U.N.G.R.Y!!!! After he ate, we showed him the baskets that the Easter Bunny left for him...

He played with some of his new toys and made himself so sleepy it was time for a nap!!! When he woke up, he watched Mommy and Daddy decorate Easter eggs for him....

After we finished our egg decorating we took PJ to the park by our house. We went on a nice walk and found some picnic tables to sit at. Daddy took PJ around the park some more and mommy read her new book and enjoyed the warm sun and cool, spring breeze!

When we got home, we spent some time outside and then it was time for PJ to take a nap! While he napped, we worked on some things in the back yard. We had a fabulous dinner: ham, green beans, biscuits, salad, key lime pie... We played for a bit in PJ's room and mommy worked on his baby book. We decided to make his hand and foot print in this cool kit that Jessica gave us!!! After that, it was time for bath and bed! It was a WONDERFUL day!

slept in his crib for the first time last night!!! Part of me wished he would cry a bit so I could get him and keep him near me... but he didn't... Just another sign that my sweet baby boy isn't so little anymore.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Today is the day that PJ was named after... His grandma was born today and her name was Patricia. James' was given the middle name Patrick after his mom.... and PJ was named after his daddy!!! Confusing??? :-)

My sweet 3 month old...

I can't believe 3 months has gone by already! PJ has changed so much and is getting bigger everyday! He is so close to rolling over and is smiling at everything! He loves bath time and is sleeping through the night! We have not yet moved him into his crib yet... I am just not ready yet!

Back to work...

Well, Monday was officially my 1st day back at work! It went better than I expected. My students were so happy to see me and very well behaved! James dropped PJ off at Sheena's in the AM and she was so awesome all day because she sent me pictures of everything PJ was doing! (Will try to post later) I was so excited to go pick him up, and when I got there and he woke up, he was ALL SMILES! :-)

Gonna go spend some time with little man before it's bath/bed time.... Plus, my brother and his wife are coming in town tonight and I have some straightening up to do...

Heads up!

PJ has really started to hold his head up so much better in the last few days! When you walk around with him he keeps his head up and looks back and forth. He is also working really hard at pushing up when he is having tummy time! The last 2 pictures are just to show the pure cuteness that is my son... :-)

2 month checkup!

PJ had his 2 month checkup today! He weighed in at a whopping 13 lb. 4 oz. and was 23 inches long!!! It doesn't seem possible that my sweet little baby is getting so big already!!! He also had to get some shots today which he was not happy about! Everyone was right, however. He cried for about 30 seconds and was fine. I, on the other hand, was a nervous wreck for the entire day!

I'm BAAAAACK!

Ok, so to be honest I have thought about blogging for quite some time, but due to the fact that I had a little bit of a rough start becoming a mommy, and I was all upset that I didn't get to post right after he was born, I felt like it would be stupid to go back through the past 2 months and post all of the wonderful things that happened so far. I decided tonight, that I can do it, and that the longer I wait, the more things I will have to catch up on... So, it may take a while, and a bunch of posts, but I will get out everything that has happened from his birthday until now!!! So bare with me as I relive the highs and lows of the last 10 weeks in order to get you up to date. :0)

First big boy nap!

Today PJ took his first nap in his crib! He slept for about an hour and woke up smiling! (Although I wasn't quick enough to capture that on camera...)

1st bath without crying!

Tonight, PJ had his first bath without crying! We got him a different bath tub, and for some reason, he liked it better! His daddy is right... CHEAPER IS BETTER!

Happy Valentine's Day!

On Valentine's Day we took some special pictures to make a picture frame for Daddy.

PJ also got some books that I read to him after his bath before bedtime. It was a fun 1st Valentine's Day!



After PJ went to bed Mommy and Daddy had some yummy fondue and then hit the hay early because we were all coming down with colds!

What do Iraq, seeing fish, and snow have to do with eachother? READ ON!

This last week has been a great one!!! Caleb came home from Iraq, and we all traveled to North Carolina to be there when he got off the bus on base! It was the first time he got to meet PJ and Layci so it was really special!

On our visit there, while Caleb went on base to do some paperwork with Mom and Becky, the rest of us went to the Aquarium. Hunter, Savannah, and Brady had a blast looking at all of the animals and even getting to touch a few. We even watched a snake show, and I, of course, sat WAY in the back! We also saw a show where there were divers who talked about the ship wreck they re-created. They were underwater and had microphones that they talked to us through. People in the audience could even ask questions and they could hear to answer them!!! It was a very neat place to visit.

The rest of our visit there we just celebrated Caleb's safe homecoming and it was great to have us all together as a family!

We left NC on Tuesday and headed to Atlanta to meet our new niece Kairi that was born in January. It was also the first time John and Mae met PJ. It was great to get pictures of the babies together, and for Mae and I to share our experiences as new mothers!

We left Atlanta this morning to come home, but first made a stop to Babies R Us since Tallahassee doesn't have one... When we got out of the car, there were tiny pieces of snow falling!!! PJ got to experience his first snow flurries even though it of course melted before it hit the ground.

(You can't see it in these pictures, but there definitely were snow flurries!!!)

What a wonderful week it has been!

It's official...

PJ has his first cold. I took him to the dr. this morning because he was coughing and sneezing. He is on Amoxicillin for the next 10 days and we are getting ready to leave for North Carolina this afternoon to see my brother when he gets home from Iraq. Luckily he isn't acting sick!!! Wish us luck as we begin our travels for the next 5 days!
