Grilling with Daddy

Tonite James grilled steaks for us and we decided to let PJ run around in the backyard. He chased the dog, giggled, and squealed the entire time as he explored every inch of grass! These kinds of things are just more of a reminder that he is becoming so much more independent!

My dear friend....

Jessica made PJ this AMAZING quilt. It has cute little dachshunds and hearts on it which are PERFECT! She took a lot of time to make this for him, piece by piece and I am totally inspired by her creativity!

Jessica and I have been friends for a lot of years and it is such a wonderful feeling to be able to still share our friendship together now that we are Mommies. She is such a kind, considerate person to everyone she meets and there is no way that this simple post can really let her know what her special homemade quilt for my baby boy meant to me...

Little Artist...

This is PJ's 1st finger-painting from school! His teacher Miss Lora said he loved doing it! He freaked out when it was time to clean up because he wanted to keep painting!

My little boy is winning awards already!

PJ's 3rd day in daycare...

And some kid gave him a black eye!!!

A New Adventure...

PJ started daycare today on a drop-off basis... He seemed to really like it, and I LOVE the fact that I can watch him via the webcam. Naptime seemed a little crazy because they use nap mats... and I don't think he really understood... but they were finally able to get him to sleep for a bit!

I got this from one of the quad blogs I LOVE TO READ! Suz's kiddos are just so cute, and I am always excited to read something new that's happening!

Anyway, here is what you do:

Here is my sweet baby boy PJ with Flat Stanley!

My neice Savannah was doing the Flat Stanley project in her classroom, so she sent him up here to Tallahassee for a tour around Seminole Territory! He took a picture with a sleeping PJ who was exactly one month old in the picture. Oh, how I miss my sweet, snuggly, sleepy baby boy! Where does the time go!

My Little Seminole...

We went to the mall yesterday to pick up PJ's 9 month pictures and decided to swing by Garnet & Gold to try on some hats! Isn't he cute???

Papa's visit...

Papa has been here since Wednesday and we have had a great visit! He stayed home with PJ on Friday and they had a blast! We went for PJ's 9 month checkup after I got off work and he weighed in at 21 pounds 3 ounces and is 28 inches long!!! Dr. St. Petery said he is perfectly healthy.

Today we had Marie and Joe over to watch the FSU game and Papa made his world famous ribs! They were DELICIOUS! PJ loved them too. We had a great time, and were quite pleased with FSU's victory against UM!

Papa is leaving tomorrow, even though we don't want him too... But it was sure fun while it lasted!

In other news, my dad is here visiting! It is so nice to have him up here and spending time with PJ. He is actually babysitting today while James and I are at work! We are taking him for his 9 month checkup this afternoon, so check back later for his updated stats!

Dear PJ,

There are so many things I love about you and there is not nearly enough space on the entire world wide web to list it all... I could talk about your smile, or the way you say "Mama", and even the way you giggle from deep down when I tickle your tummy...

What I want to remember most about this "stage" you are in is this... No matter how engrossed in a toy you are, you always look around to see where I am and that I am watching you... And sometimes you even give me this great big smile, drop your toy and crawl into my lap for a quick kiss and hug until back to your toys you go.

I love you, baby boy, and you fill my heart with more love and joy than you will ever know!
