The joy of family...
This was not posed... At Hunter's lax game, the little ones were playing, and when I looked over, this is what I saw...

My 1st quilt!
OK, so you are probably wondering where the picture of this said quilt is! Well, in case the receiver of the quilt happens to be on my blog, I don't want them to see it! I will post pictures as soon as I give it to her!
I could NOT have done this without Jessica! She is truly a great friend for many other reasons than her top of the line teaching skills! PJ and I spent Saturday night at her house and I was able to finish the backing, quilting and binding by yesterday afternoon.
This is definitely my new addiction and I am already in the process of getting ready for another project, as well as, making a few things to add to my Etsy shop!
Pictures will be up tomorrow...

My Sour Patch Kid...

Seriously, my child is like one of those sour patch kids! One second he is trying to hit you, bite you, and throw a major temper tantrum... and then the next second he gives tons of hugs and kisses as if to say "I'm sorry". It is hard to not think it is super cute! I just hope that maybe this is the terrible two's arriving a little early. I would be glad to get them over with QUICKLY! But if this is any indication on what it is really going to be like... I'm scared! HAHAHA (In all reality, he is really NOT that bad)

Heart-Melting...
PJ's daycare pics came back today... They are so cute! I will scan a copy, but I just couldn't resist putting up a copy right away! He also brought home this picture today, too... Doesn't it melt your heart?!?!

Papa's Ribs...
If there is one food PJ cannot resist, it is BY FAR Papa's Ribs. These ribs are mouthwatering, fall of the bone D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S! Along with this, he makes homemade BBQ sauce! The last time Papa came to visit and PJ was around 9 months, he made his ribs with his homemade BBQ sauce and gave some to PJ. He didn't do much other than gnaw on the bone with the sauce. This time, however, the mess was bigger, he ate the meat, and he had to have every rib bone that Papa finished on his tray! What a change a few months can make!
Here he is at 9 months...

Today at 14 1/2 months....

My new sewing, beading, scrapbooking, craft area...
Here is my little craft area set-up in the guest room! I am pretty happy with the way it has turned out so far. I still have some more things I need to do to get it organized the way I want it, but for now it suits me perfectly!!! I went to JoAnns the other day and got a great deal on some coordinating pirate fabric with which I plan to make a pillowcase and a decorative border on a bag for PJ to take to daycare. (THANKS, JESS, for the great idea)! Since PJ's room is all pirate decor, I thought this fabric was just PERFECT! Now let's just hope I am able to make something nice!

Playing at the Park 2/22/09
PJ and I decided to go to the park and play! He had so much fun trying to climb up the slide, and then slipping and sliding down on his belly! At first when we got there, he was really uneasy and was biting his hand, but after a bit, he was running around just like the rest of the kids!
